THE DEBUT SINGLE "EPISODE"

As of 01/01/2026, I am done. My close friends know Ive been fighting saying this word out loud FOR YEARS. Truth is, it had little to do with wanting to remain in the profession.

The hard part for me was that my dad was a DJ in the past as well. Kept at it until his passing over a decade ago. My staying in the game felt like a soul tie with him I'd lose if I stepped away. It really was a struggle to move on with that thought in my head.

Also, in 2018 when the funding for our tequila brand was on deck, THAT was going to be be my out from the game. Then.....Trump & personal disaster struck. Hence, back to what I'd always known was again the play.

Then, the car accident that nearly killed me. THAT has proven to biggest challenge to continuing to do this live as it just is physically difficult for long periods of time.

Lastly, I just dont enjoy this sh*t anymore. I'm a CLUB DJ.... A PARTYROCK DJ.....A PERFORMER. I'm not built for all the "cool" sh*t that the hookah lounges, brunches, and rooftops are on in this era..Not a "streaming DJ" either. I loved to connect with the people LIVE so, DJing in front of a camera would never be a good fit for me.

That said, in the 15 years I actively did the "Superstar DJ ROS" thing, I played over 160 different venues around the world & had over 17 long-term residencies nationally & abroad. Became a brand ambassador for HUGE brands as a DJ. I'm blown by what was achieved in the time frame. Everything exceeded expectations.

In closing, leaving this part of the game behind is exciting because it returns me fully back to the game I moved to Atlanta for in the first place: The Music Business.

Focusing on writing, producing, and building my own label over the last few years has helped me feel energized in ways that DJing hasn't in forever.

So, "Retired" isn't a bad thing....its the BEST THING. Our label's original music is starting to make waves around the world. This is where I belong going forward. I'm about to show & prove.....again.

I started attempting to retire from club gigs roughly a decade ago (2016) with Facebook posts that even said "Tonight I play my last NYE gig" back in 2015. As someone who began doing parties in 5th grade & had his first residency in 1991. I've been in the game A LONG A** TIME & have been a part of, in my opinion, the 

BEST eras of nightlife & clubbing.

This profession had me on radio, on tour, on TV, in magazines, & in movies. It has taken me to 6 of the 7 continents. It has given me access to people & rooms no other profession could. Festival stages to dive bars, as a DJ, I can literally say I did it all.

And....with that said, I happily can say this: As of January 1st, 2026, as a club / Live event DJ, I am done. I no longer hesitate to say the word "retired" any longer. I am actually relieved to make it plain & definite.

I will still release mixes, mixtapes, & relaunch my radio show...BUT....playing out in THIS ERA, with this trash music, promoter scene, & with this customer base?? Nah..... I'm all the way good. I'm not the "throwback DJ" nor the one willing to survive on the top 200 recurrent records like I'm seeing many of my peers do.
